Operational Finance Manager / Financial Administrator (Utrecht/Hybrid/70k/All-round)
A scale-up in the music industry, is looking for an enthusiastic all-round Finance Manager to support the company's rapid growth.
This is a Dutch company that has created a streaming platform for the music and entertainment industry, among others, where artists can stream their performances or share specific content with their fans, and where you as a fan can buy tickets to, for example, see that one concert live, or watch it back. The organization is still in a start-up phase and has just signed a nice big contract with one of the biggest music producers in the industry. As a result, they are now experiencing international growth and the platform is expected to gain more and more traction and grow the organization.
Position: Operational Finance Manager / Financial Administrator
Because the club is still relatively small, we are looking for someone who will have responsibility for all facets of finance. From executive accounting to reporting and everything else involved. In this position you will report directly to the CFO. The CFO is mainly concerned with the strategic aspects of growth such as funding and discussions with investors and the bank.
In terms of tasks you can think of: Accounts payable management, checking payments and declarations, HR/salary processing, VAT declarations, project administration and the final monthly closing by means of reports. Especially the reporting is complex due to reporting to the shareholders/investor and the breakdown of all interested parties who are entitled to a part of the turnover such as Buma Stemra, the artist, record company, etc.
This means getting a lot of information from colleagues and double-checking to find out exactly how things work. You work closely with the CFO, the production team and the marketing team.
We are also busy rolling out an ERP system as a new financial package, which will go live in the last months of this year. In your position you will be the key user of the ERP system and you will also be involved in the further development of the package within the organization.
We also expect the finance manager to play an active role in further automating and professionalizing our financial processes and reporting.
We expect to grow significantly as an organization and expect that a finance team will eventually be formed in which we will place hands-on administrative tasks with new team members that you can recruit yourself together with us.

You are a real puzzler who likes to dive deep into the numbers. In addition, you enjoy interacting with colleagues across the company. You are curious and therefore a position with a variety of activities and areas of interest suits you well. You are used to tackling tasks independently and dare to take initiative.
